Resolve document comparison for a plastic recycling sorting line before freezing a supplier. This page is a procurement dossier: which drawings, water-balance sheets and sorting-stage lists must match across bidders. It is not an engineering guarantee and not a compliance certificate.
Decision dossier
Each bidder should return a stage list (sort / wash / separate / dry), separation drum dimensions in metres, connected load in kW, supply frequency in Hz, footprint in millimetres and a written statement of who supplies water treatment. Attach the buyer’s contamination map and mixed sample recipe so FAT language can cite the same files.
Optical sorting earlier in the line can shrink washer size and increase reject handling documents. Extra washing without sorting can shrink the sorter package and expand water-plant drawings. Machine price versus installed project cost is the industry dispute to keep visible: tooling, shipping, utilities, installation and spare parts belong in separate columns.
Which document is still unsigned: the mixed-sample recipe, the water-balance measurement points, or the pelletizer exclusion? Until that file exists, two sorting-line quotes are not comparable. Ask factories to mark missing pages instead of filling gaps verbally.
A plastic recycling sorting line that sits upstream of washing still needs metal and paper fractions named. A sorter that sits after a pre-wash needs a different moisture assumption. Neither layout should be copied from a pelletizing-line drawing. Throughput must state material and conditions: input bales versus dried flake are different numbers. Working pressure for pneumatic conveying, if used, should appear in bar or psi with the air demand. FAT and SAT remain buyer–factory contract language. We do not publish a 2023 or 2024 savings percentage because no comparable quotation set exists in this project’s files.
When documents disagree, restating the open item is more useful than averaging two stage lists. When one factory omits sludge handling, add it as a site column rather than calling the mechanical quote cheaper.
