Scope limits: Must have

Buyers must keep a written contamination map, recovered-fraction target and a named residual-moisture method. Without those three items, two factories cannot be compared on the same sheet. We restate missing fields rather than filling them with brochure defaults. Connected load in kW, supply frequency in Hz and footprint in millimetres belong in the same pack when the bay is already known.

Tradeoff

A narrow washing-only RFQ is easier to compare and may omit optical sorting or water treatment that the plant still needs. A full-line RFQ captures interfaces and staffing but mixes mechanical price with civil and permit work. Industry dispute “single machine or integrated line” is exactly this split: compare interfaces, staffing and acceptance boundaries instead of forcing one envelope.

Machine Selection on this site means asking what must be true before a sorting or washing drawing is frozen, not a promise that we will engineer the line. Must-have items are buyer data. Tradeoffs are process choices factories should price as options. The next question is whatever remains unsigned. If a factory offers CE, UL or ISO files, we list those as documents to request for the serial; we do not treat them as this service’s credentials. Spare parts kits, changeover screens and operator training hours stay on the quote as included or extra. FAT and SAT remain contract language between buyer and factory.
